Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms apply between you and MDS Driving School (trading as Metro Driving School) of Slough, Berkshire. By using this website, submitting an enquiry, or booking a driving lesson with us, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book lessons.

2. Our services

We provide practical driving tuition in Slough and the surrounding areas, delivered by DVSA-approved, DBS-checked instructors in a dual-controlled, fully insured tuition vehicle. Lessons are available as single hours, block bookings, and intensive courses. Theory-test guidance and mock tests are included with certain packages.

Submitting the enquiry form does not itself create a booking. A booking exists once we have confirmed a specific lesson date and time with you.

3. Pricing and payment

Current prices for all lesson packages are listed on our pricing page. Prices are in pounds sterling and may change from time to time; the price that applies is the one confirmed to you at the point of booking. Block bookings and intensive courses are paid for in advance. Single lessons may be paid for session by session. We accept bank transfer and cash.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

[CONFIRM: cancellation policy details — the wording below is a reasonable industry-standard placeholder and is not currently stated anywhere else on the site. Please confirm or amend the notice period, the charge for late cancellation, and your refund position on unused block-booking hours.]

  • Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move a lesson. There is no charge for changes made within that notice period.
  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full, as the slot can rarely be filled at short notice.
  • If we have to cancel a lesson, we will offer you an alternative slot at the earliest opportunity at no extra cost.
  • Unused hours from a block booking or intensive course remain available to you; refunds on unused hours are at our discretion and may be adjusted to the single-lesson rate for hours already taken.

5. Your responsibilities

Before and during lessons you must:

  • hold a valid UK provisional (or full) driving licence and bring it to lessons if asked;
  • be legally fit to drive — not under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescription medication that affects driving), and meeting the DVSA eyesight standard;
  • tell us about any medical condition or medication that may affect your ability to drive safely;
  • follow your instructor’s reasonable instructions at all times.

An instructor may end a lesson immediately, without refund, if they reasonably believe it is unsafe or unlawful to continue.

6. Driving tests

Theory and practical test fees are payable by you to the DVSA and are not included in our lesson prices. Use of our vehicle for a practical test can be arranged separately and is subject to our instructor being satisfied that you are test-ready. We cannot guarantee a test result.

7. Liability

Our tuition vehicle is comprehensively insured for driving tuition. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of earnings or opportunity, or for costs arising from a cancelled or failed driving test, and our total liability in connection with our services is limited to the amount you have paid us for the lessons concerned.

The content of this website is provided for general information. We take care to keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is complete or error-free.

8. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
